Frequently asked questions

If your question is not answered here then get in touch and we'll do our very best to help you!

How much does it cost to use Peoplestarter?

At the moment it's FREE! for both creators and collaborators

And we would like to keep it that way.

How many projects can I submit on Peoplestarter?

At the moment you can submit up to 3 projects

But this may change in the future.

How long does it take to submit a project?

Just a couple of minutes

It takes just a couple of minutes to add the basics and tell the world about your project. We have created a simple process that helps you answer the most important questions potential collaborators would like to know. We even have a template you can follow to help you describe and pitch it!

Add more detail in your own time

Want to write an essay, add video or images, add more people you want onboard, no problem. You can login and add more to your project story at any time.

We'll present your project beautifully

You don't have to worry about how it looks, we take care of that for you. Every project gets its own professionally designed page and unique URL.

Can I create projects on behalf of my business, organisation or charity?

Yes! But remember Peoplestarter is not a job recruitment website.

Your project submission must NOT contain any references to a job or position in your business, organisation or charity which includes a salary or wage. However, we do provide the opportunity to offer non-financial incentives when submitting your project to help get people on board.

Why can't I offer a salary or a wage?

If we allowed this then we would be just another job recruitment website? Our ethos is about bringing people together to collaborate, without initially involving money. That said, you may choose to discuss financial incentives and commitments PRIVATELY on Peoplestarter. But you CANNOT discuss or display them publicly.

Is Peoplestarter just another crowdfunding website?

No! Peoplestarter is not Crowdfunding but... "Crowdfinding"

Peoplestarter is not about raising money but raising people to collaborate, support and perhaps become part of your project. Project creators can offer incentives (A bit like rewards in crowdfunding) to help get people onboard with their projects.

Why does is say "Beta" top right on your site?

Peoplestarter is a work in progress

We are very new and are still developing things. Currently it's in a "proof of concept" stage but we thought we should get it out there and test the water. Needless to say we have a lot of great things planned and right now we really need some feedback. Let us know what you think.
